TAG Heuer sponsored timer counts down to F1 races

F1 Race Countdown Widget for James Allen

Wednesday 17th March 2010

We love a bit of Formula One so were absolutely delighted when F1 pundit James Allen asked us to design a new TAG Heuer sponsored race countdown widget for use on his very popular F1 blog and tweets website. James is a former ITV F1 commentator, journalist and author who runs the James Allen on F1 website as well as a new F1 Twitter site where he tweets live during the race.

The widget counts down the days, hours, minutes and seconds to the next F1 race of the 2010 season and features TAG Heuer branding and an image of their F1 series Silverstone watch.

We designed the timer at two different sizes, one for each site, as they would be featured in different width columns. The wider of the two, pictured above left, displays the name of the Grand Prix (e.g. Spain, Brazil, Great Britain, etc.) as there was adequate space within this wider banner to accommodate the race location. The narrower of the two, pictured above right, always displays "Countdown To Next Race" due to lack of space.

The timer has all the race dates and start times of the 2010 season stored within and calculates the difference between now and the start of the next race in the future. At the end of the season, when no races are left, it says "2010 Season Ended" so can still be displayed if desired.

More information about this site can found within the portfolio and the testimonials sections of our site...
