Screensaver promotes corporate sustainability for Cemex

Cemex is a global building solutions company and leading supplier of cement, ready-mixed concrete and aggregates. With over £1 billion in annual sales and a UK supply network in over 500 locations, Cemex is dedicated to building a better future with a firm commitment to sustainable development.

As part of their 'UK Sustainability Essentials' programme Cemex required a corporate screensaver to promote a series of environmental sustainability messages throughout their many offices and plants. The screensaver addressed topics such as recycling, preventing pollution, conserving natural resources, and considering the environmental impact of a task before starting it.

After a few brief discussions about the desired presentation style, Project24 built the screensaver for Cemex and provided an online demo for their consideration. Upon their acceptance, we then built and provided a stand-alone installer application for the Microsoft Windows operating system (we can supply installers for both Mac & Windows operating systems if desired).

The installer demonstrates the screensaver before asking the user if they wish to install it. Once installed the user can customise the screensaver in the normal way via the Microsoft Windows Control Panels.

The use of a screensaver for this type of message can be highly successful as it promotes an important message in a quiet, subtle manner that ensures most people will view the message without it becoming intrusive. Cemex were very pleased with the finished product.
