The Fire Beam Company was specifically set-up to design and manufacture the world's leading optical beam smoke detector. Their innovative and multi award-winning product entitled 'The Fire Beam' is now the beam of choice for many of the leading names in the UK fire industry.
Having received a recommendation from one of our existing clients, The Fire Beam Company got in touch and asked us to handle the design and build of their website. The site is designed to promote their products, act as an information resource for potential customers and to be a source of ongoing help and support for existing customers who are already using their products.
To keep in line with the existing Fire Beam brand we specifically designed the site to resemble the glossy white appearance of the Fire Beam casing together with the contrasting red colour used in the logo.
Website features include a powerful site search tool and a user registration database for site visitors, allowing them to gain access to product literature and support that is not available as standard on the public site. As part of the user registration system we also created a set of management tools, allowing The Fire Beam Company to easily manage all aspects of the database via a user-friendly control panel.
Since launching the site an additional feature we have also set up is an IP address filtering system. This automatically detects the country that a website visitor is from and then shows them different website content depending on their location. This is particularly useful when a company has different technical specifications for their products around the world, and can also help with global licensing issues.
