Founded in 1986, Smiths Technical Systems specialise in the design, installation and maintenance of high quality security systems to London and the Home Counties. Their services include CCTV systems, access control systems, video door entry systems, intruder alarms, fire alarms and more.
Smiths already had a partially built website, originally developed a few years ago, but were now looking for a fresh approach. They heard about Project24 via a verbal recommendation from one of our existing clients and got in touch, asking us to design and build their new company website.
After a few brief discussions about the kind of image they wanted to present, we created a range of initial design concepts showing how the site could look and submitted them to Smiths for consideration. The concepts were well received and the design shown here was selected as the final overall layout.
We then built the website and made a test site available online (hosted on our test server environment) for Smiths to browse and provide details of any changes they'd like to make. After a few tweaks and additions the final site was ready to be launched and was uploaded onto the Smiths Technical Systems web server.
The site introduces Smiths as a company, focusing on their five core services for both the residential and commercial markets. It shows examples of installations they have completed and provides advice and information on the products and innovations offered by modern security systems. It also features an interactive slideshow of the latest products, and offers website visitors the ability to download product brochures from all the leading manufacturers. From within each main section (e.g. CCTV Systems or Access Control) the user can easily submit any questions they may have or send an enquiry directly to Smiths via a simple form.
Finally, we designed email header and footer graphics for Smiths to use in their email software, allowing them to style all their company emails so they look exactly the same as the website.
